Rosebery St. Peter’s Community Centre Celebrates 50 years of community work. The organisation was founded in 1966 and was known as St. Peter’s Social Centre. As time has gone by it evolved into a Community Centre known locally as St. Peter’s Community Centre. Since becoming a Charitable Company by Guarantee it adopted the name Rosebery as it had close links with the local Rosebery Primary School which closed down a few years ago.
The Centre is organising a celebration to take place on Thursday 15th September from 6.30p.m. onwards. There will be various activities, entertainment, raffle prizes, food and drink.
Greasepaint Productions is a Theatre group. The sessions are held in the Old Mission Church on Tuesday evenings 7.00-10.00p.m.
They aim is to produce top quality musical shows. Developing the talent of all its members. Membership is for 14+yrs.

The aim of the group is to provide Christian fellowship and prayer meetings for all walks of life, coming together to serve the Lord.
CHARNWOOD STROKE CLUB VOLUNTEERS REQUIRED
Charnwood Stroke Club based at Rosebery St. Peter’s Community Centre, Storer Road, Loughborough, require VOLUNTEERS to help out on a WEDNESDAY, ideally from 9.30a.m. until 2.0p.m. or by arrangement with the Club Secretary. The Club has a friendly atmosphere with a wide variety of activities during the year. Volunteers can help with any of the following activities:-
Talking to members/service users – Helping members with games and quizzes – Assist a member that is in a wheelchair when on day trips – Kitchen duties, i.e. washing up, making drinks and making sandwiches. Christmas party and meals out.

Rosebery St. Peter’s Community Centre will be taking part in the event in the Town Centre on Sunday 31st July 2016. There will be a stall with information leaflets about all the group activities that take place at the Centre. The Centre has a lot of diverse groups using it every day of the week. It is here for the people of Charnwood as well as the wider community. So come and join us.
EASE stands for Enterprise, Active, Self-Educating. This group is for retired people and would welcome new members.
EASE meets on a Tuesday from 10.0-12noon in the Beale Room.
Activities include Quizzes, Games, Poetry/reading, Guest speakers, Music mornings.

Rosebery St. Peter’s Community Centre is a Charitable Company Limited by Guarantee.
This independently run, multi-cultural Community Centre is situated between the Town Centre and Loughborough University. The area is made up of mainly terraced houses occupied by a wide variety of people from young families and students to the elderly (many of whom have lived here all their lives).
The Centre has three free standing buildings, all used for a variety of activities.
There are three rooms for hire in the Main building, Main Hall, Beale Room and the Coffee Lounge. All have kitchen facilities. The Beale Room and Coffee Lounge also have White boards for training purposes.
The Spectrum Centre is situated behind the main building which stands independently with its own kitchen facilities and accessible toilet, baby change facilities and White board.
The Old Mission Church stands at the side of the main building and is an ideal facility for Dog training, Morris Dancing and Boxing Clubs. It has its own accessible toilet.
We have parking facilities for up to 26 vehicles. Two of which are for disabled users.
The Centre is used by a wide number of groups of people. During the day we have number of groups i.e. Stroke Clubs, Fitness classes, art groups. In the evening the Centre is hired and used by variety of groups (see What’s On list), these are our Member groups. The Centre is also used at the weekends for private parties, weddings, discos, jumble sales etc.
The Centre is run by a Board of Trustees made up of representatives from all user/member/associated groups. We are also supported by individual members who live in the area. We are mainly self-funded, although we do receive a small grant from Charnwood Borough Council to assist in the running of the centre.
Rosebery St. Peter’s enjoys a positive and happy relationship with other Community Centres and Community Groups in Loughborough and our members and staff are involved with other groups and committees throughout the town.
At the present time we have four paid posts – Centre Co-ordinator, part-time Care Taker, Premises Officer and Security Officer funded by the Centre.
